Every parent of every child enrolled at Hillcrest School is a member of the Parent Advisory Council. The PAC is representative of all parents. Below are the elected executive of the Parent Advisory Council for the school year 2007/2008.

President:
Act as a liaison between parents and school staff.
Prepare an agenda for the monthly PAC and the monthly PAC executive meetings.
Chair the monthly PAC and PAC Executive meetings.
Give the president?s report at the monthly PAC meetings.
Receive all incoming correspondence and prepare and send out correspondence and newsletters as required.
Keep the PAC bulletin board up to date.
Vice President:
Assist president as required
Liaise with Social Activities Coordinators and give directions to Social Committee. (i.e. when refreshments are required at monthly meetings or special luncheons)
Report monthly at the PAC meetings.
Attend the monthly PAC meeting and the monthly PAC Executive meetings.
Coordinate the welcoming of new parents at Hillcrest.
Treasurer:
Responsible for the PAC bank account, incoming and outgoing funds.
Issue checks as required.
Look after providing floats for events such as the Spring Carnival and Craft Fair. Manage the money afterwards to ensure it goes to the proper parties (i.e. classes, bank, etc.)
Give the Treasurer?s report at the monthly PAC meetings.
Attend the monthly PAC and PAC Executive meetings.
Secretary:
Responsible for taking minutes at the PAC meetings, having them typed up, and dispersed as required.
Responsible for all photocopying needed by the PAC.
Attend the monthly PAC and PAC Executive meetings.
Assist with the updating of the PAC bulletin board.
Send out thank you cards.
Post PAC minutes on the bulletin board.
District PAC Representative:
Attend DPAC meetings which are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
Report any useful information from the DPAC meetings back to the PAC. Take feedback or concerns from our PAC back to the DPAC.
Attend the monthly PAC and PAC Executive meetings.
